Acrylic on paper, 2019, from a series of a hundred, each one different. I laid the pink down first, flat across the whole sheet, then worked the strip at the left edge — turquoise, black, a run of orange — and let it break where it wanted to break. I never decided what the strip was, and I’d rather not say. It stays where it is because it holds against all that pink.
